With PM Modi’s support, meaningful changes are happening in Sikkim: CM Tamang

The Diamond States Summit Season-2 was held at Raj Bhavan in Gangtok, bringing together ministers, MLAs, chairpersons, senior officials, and stakeholders to discuss Sikkim’s development and growth potential. Governor Om Prakash Mathur attended as Chief Guest, while Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang was the Guest of Honour.
Governor Mathur speaking on his one-year tenure in the state, lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Act East Policy” as a vital path for development. He described Northeast India as not merely a direction but a crucial region for national progress. Highlighting Sikkim’s potential in local products, he stressed opportunities for both national and international markets. He also praised Sikkim’s people for their discipline, hospitality, and environmental awareness.
CM Tamang outlined the government’s focus on economic, social, and cultural advancement through flagship initiatives such as Mero Rukh Mero Santati, Ama Sashaktikaran Yojana and Mero Bato Mero Bot. He credited Prime Minister Modi’s guidance for enabling steady, meaningful changes in the state.
