Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang visited the construction site of the Vrindavan Park project in Dodak on July 4 , where he reviewed the progress of what is being seen as a major development in the region. The visit was part of the Chief Minister’s ongoing efforts to personally monitor key projects that are expected to bring long-term benefits to the people of the state.
The Vrindavan Park project, currently under construction, is being developed as a peaceful and green public space. During the site visit, CM Tamang interacted with officials and engineers, and was briefed on the project’s status. He examined the work being done and gave clear instructions to keep up the pace without compromising on quality.
Speaking about the project, the Chief Minister said that Vrindavan Park is designed to be a quiet and beautiful place where both locals and tourists can relax. He added that it would also help promote green infrastructure, support biodiversity, and encourage people to enjoy and respect nature.
"This project is not just about building a park," said CM Tamang. "It is about improving the quality of life, supporting the environment, and creating opportunities for the local people. A well-planned park like this will become a special place for the community."
He stressed the need for careful planning, good design, and eco-friendly construction methods. He urged the concerned departments to focus on aesthetics, environmental protection, and timely completion.
Apart from being a leisure space, the Vrindavan Park project is also expected to bring economic benefits to the region. CM Tamang mentioned that the park would generate local jobs during and after construction. It would also help small businesses, such as food stalls, handicraft sellers, and tourism-related services, to grow around the area.
