The United Riders of Sikkim, a newly formed beginner riders’ club based in Singtam, celebrated Republic Day with a purposeful initiative by organizing a cleanliness drive at Tarey Bhir in South Sikkim.

The club, established in 2024 with the motto "Ride for Cause," combined their passion for motorcycling with a commitment to environmental conservation. During their first official ride, members enthusiastically cleaned the surroundings of the popular Tarey Bhir viewpoint, spreading awareness about the importance of a clean and green environment.

Inspired by the Swachh Bharat, Swachh Sikkim mission led by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, the initiative highlighted the importance of community-driven efforts in maintaining the state’s natural beauty. According to a press release, the drive aimed to motivate the youth of Sikkim to take active roles in environmental preservation.

“Our goal is to make Sikkim clean, green, and plastic-free. Through such collective actions, we hope to inspire more youth to join hands with us in riding for a cause,” stated the members of the United Riders of Sikkim.
