Three-month training for Sikkim Civil Service and Finance Service Officers begins at ATI

A three-month training programme for the 2025 Probationary Batch of Sikkim State Civil Service and Sikkim Finance & Accounts Service officers commenced on Sunday at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI). The training aims to equip newly appointed officers with essential administrative knowledge and skills for their future roles.

The inaugural session was attended by Rinzing C. Bhutia, Secretary of the Department of Personnel, as the Chief Guest, along with Thinley P. Chankapa, Additional Secretary of the Department of Personnel, as the Special Guest. Also present were ATI Director Mahesh Sharma, Deputy Secretary C. L. Sharma, and 50 probationary officers who recently cleared the State Civil Service examinations.

Addressing the officers, Bhutia congratulated them and urged them to carry out their duties with diligence, professionalism, and teamwork. He highlighted the importance of maintaining strong interpersonal relationships within the administrative network and stated the need for continuous learning and adaptability. He also advised the officers to register on the iGOT Karmayogi platform and complete at least five online modules to enhance their training experience.

The training programme will cover a wide range of topics, including Constitutional Provisions, Sikkim Government Service Rules, and various laws such as Environmental Laws, Labour Laws, Human Rights, and the Right to Information Act. The first six weeks of training will be held at ATI, followed by sessions at the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) and Sikkim Cooperative Union (SICUN). The programme will conclude with a two-week training at an external institute.

Earlier, ATI Director Mahesh Sharma welcomed the participants, while Deputy Director C. L. Sharma delivered the Vote of Thanks.
