The 72nd Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Yuksam, conducted a large-scale tree plantation drive on June 15 in the serene premises of Cherzing Monastery (Skywalk), Pelling, West Sikkim. Organized under the national banner of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”, the event was held under the visionary leadership of the Commandant of the 72nd Battalion.

The plantation drive aimed not only to enhance green cover but also to foster environmental awareness among local communities and visiting tourists. The event brought together a diverse group of participants, reflecting a strong community spirit in the effort toward a cleaner and greener future.

Adding a meaningful touch to the program, members of Sandiksha, along with its Chairperson, joined in planting saplings, showcasing a model of civic participation and emotional investment in environmental causes.
