Sports journalists felicitated in Sikkim on National Sports Day

National Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Sikkim today, with a special program held at Paljor Stadium that brought together athletes, officials, sports enthusiasts, and members of the media. One of the highlights of the celebration was the felicitation of sports journalists who have been closely associated with the coverage and promotion of sports in Sikkim. Recognising their long years of dedication and commitment, the organisers honoured Bijoy Gurung, Sagar Chettri, Chetan Gajmer, Aaron Sukraj Rai, Chitra Bdr. Chettri, and Dechen Ongmu Bhutia. Their contribution to sports journalism was described as invaluable, as they have consistently highlighted the achievements of local athletes, covered major tournaments, and inspired young players through their reporting.
