Actor Sonu Sood, known for his powerful performance as the antagonist Chhedi Singh in Dabangg, recently revealed why he turned down a role in its sequel, Dabangg 2. In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Sood shared that although he was approached by close friends Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan to play Chhedi Singh’s brother, the role did not excite him.

Sood recalled that Salman and Arbaaz, who are like family to him, offered him the role of the revenge-seeking brother of Chhedi Singh. However, the actor felt the role lacked the spark he was looking for. "Salman and Arbaaz were very sweet, and they told me to do it. But I told them, 'Mujhe excitement nahi aa raha, yeh role ko le kar. Toh main kaise kar paunga,'" he explained.

Despite the close bond, Sood chose not to take up the offer, explaining that the role simply did not inspire him. As a result, Dabangg 2 featured a new set of villains, with Prakash Raj leading the charge, alongside Nikitin Dheer and Deepak Dobriyal.

Sood's decision to walk away from the role did not affect his relationship with the Khan brothers, and he remains on good terms with them.
