Singtam Nagar Panchayat successfully organized a large-scale Cleanliness Drive today, receiving overwhelming support from government officials and local residents.
The initiative was spearheaded by MLA N. B. Dahal and backed by Singtam Nagar Panchayat President Suresh Tamang, along with his team of councillors and Municipal Executive Officer (MEO) Ujjal Pandey. The drive aimed to enhance public awareness on cleanliness while promoting sustainable waste management practices.
The cleanliness campaign witnessed active participation from government employees, municipal staff, and enthusiastic citizens, who collectively worked to clean public spaces, streets, and marketplaces. Efforts were directed towards waste collection, segregation, and proper disposal, aligning with the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Sikkim’s commitment to a greener future.
Officials from Singtam Nagar Panchayat expressed gratitude to all participants and emphasized the significance of community-led efforts in maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards. "Cleanliness is a shared responsibility, and today’s initiative proves that collective action can bring meaningful change," said an official from the Panchayat.
