The serene surroundings of Tashi Cholong Manilagang bore witness to an emotional farewell as the community gathered to honor Pem Leda Lepcha, a revered Manilagang Lopen (teacher), for his 55 years of dedicated service. At the age of 80, his remarkable journey, which began in 1970, came to a heartfelt conclusion, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom and devotion.
The farewell ceremony was graced by the presence of Hon'ble Area MLA Shri Tenzing Norbu Lamtha, alongside esteemed Lamas, Hon’ble Zilla Panchayat Shri Lakpa Kagatey, Smt Dhan Maya Rai, and the Panchayats of Bhusuk Naitam GPU. The grateful residents of Pabyuik Naitam came together to express their profound appreciation for Lepcha’s unwavering commitment to education and spiritual guidance.
