Sikkim's Marathon Man Amar Subba and team arrive in Pune for BURJ 2025 Mountain Ultra Running Championship

Renowned as the "Marathon Man of Sikkim," Amar Subba, along with his dedicated team, has safely arrived in Pune, Maharashtra, for the highly anticipated BURJ 2025 Mountain Ultra Running Championship. The event is scheduled to take place on January 11th and 12th, 2025, at the New Katraj Tunnel in Shindewadi, Katraj, Pune.

The team, consisting of eight skilled runners from the Amar Subba Marathon Man Academy of Sikkim (AMAS), is gearing up for the challenging trail run. The championship is officially recognized by the International Trail Running Association (ITRA) and the Ultra Trail Mont-Blanc (UTMB), making it a prestigious event for participants aiming to qualify for the World Trail Run Championship 2025.

The team’s participants will compete across various distances:

- AMAR SUBBA – 100 KM

- NIRMAL SINGAR – 50 KM

- PRITAM RAI – 50 KM

- SUSHMITA RAI – 50 KM

- ANUDA TAMANG – 50 KM

- SHANTI RAI – 25 KM

- BIBEK DAHAL – 10 KM

- UNISHA TAMANG – 10 KM
