Sikkim’s Aarogya Dahal shines in Malaysia, secures 2nd place at FIA Karting Championship

Young motorsport talent Aarogya Dahal from Rhenock Tarpin, Sikkim, has once again brought glory to the state by securing the second position at the FIA Malaysian Karting Championship held at the Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia. The international event saw participation from racers representing eight countries, making Dahal’s achievement a moment of pride not only for Sikkim but also for India.
The 18-year-old racer has been steadily building a reputation as one of the country’s most promising drivers. His latest podium finish in Malaysia is a reflection of his determination, skill, and relentless passion for motorsport. Despite competing against experienced international racers, Aarogya showcased both consistency and composure, earning him widespread appreciation from the motorsport community.
This is not the first time Dahal has caught the attention of racing enthusiasts. He first made headlines after being recognised as a rising star at the Kerala Talent Hunt. Since then, he has gone on to participate in several prestigious events, including making his debut in the challenging 12-hour endurance race at the Sodi World Series (SWS) Dubai Endurance Championship. In that race, Aarogya successfully covered 700 km and 600 laps, proving his stamina and perseverance in high-pressure conditions.
Dahal also secured third place in the Senior 4S category during a race hosted by the Motorsport Association of Malaysia (MAM) at the Sepang circuit. He has further honed his skills by participating in Rotax testing in Sepang, which gave him valuable international exposure.
