Upper Burtuk MLA Kala Rai has voiced strong criticism against the Health Department, accusing it of bypassing her and the local community in project planning and execution within her constituency.

Rai, the elected representative of Upper Burtuk, expressed her frustration over not being informed or consulted about the department’s ongoing initiatives. She highlighted her concern that such actions undermine her authority and role in representing the community’s interests.

The MLA also stated the need for greater local involvement in these projects, particularly for the youth. “Our young people should be given opportunities to participate in initiatives happening in their own community,” Rai said.
