Sikkim: Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav visits RARI Gangtok, inaugurates upgraded lab

Prataprao Jadhav, the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Ayush and Minister of State for the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, visited the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI) in Gangtok today, marking a significant milestone for the institute. During his visit, the Honourable Minister inaugurated the newly upgraded Biochemistry and Pathology Laboratory, a crucial addition to the Institute's research infrastructure.

Following the inauguration, Jadhav took the opportunity to review RARI’s ongoing projects and activities. He engaged in an interactive session with the officers and staff, fostering a collaborative atmosphere and encouraging open communication. Dr. Achintya Mitra, Assistant Director In-charge of RARI, provided a detailed overview of the Institute's work, particularly its role in promoting research and integrating traditional Ayurvedic practices with modern scientific approaches.

In his address, Jadhav stated the importance of the Ayush systems within India's healthcare framework, underlining their significant role in both preventive and curative healthcare. He also praised the success of the Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan, which exceeded its goal by conducting over 1 crore Prakriti Parikshans nationwide ahead of schedule.
