Sikkim to host first open invitational Taekwondo Championship from 23rd to 25th January

A press conference was held on January 15 with MLA and Chief Patron of the Sikkim 1st Open Invitational Taekwondo Championship 2025, Shree Satish Chandra Rai, sharing his excitement and pride for the upcoming event. Scheduled to take place from 23rd to 25th January 2025 at the Namchi Indoor Stadium, the championship is a significant milestone, marking the first-ever open invitational Taekwondo tournament not just in Namchi, but across the entire state of Sikkim.

Satish Chandra Rai expressed deep gratitude to Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang Golay for his continuous support in advancing sports and youth development initiatives. He highlighted the government's dedication to fostering a culture of excellence and empowering athletes across the state.
The MLA also praised the role of community platforms like KORMI, which play a crucial part in bringing people together and motivating young athletes to aim for greatness.
