Sikkim: Special health camp held at old age home in Namchi

The Women, Child, Senior Citizen and Person with Disabilities Welfare Department (WCSCPwDWD), in collaboration with the Health and Family Welfare Department, organized a special health camp at the Old Age Home in Boomtar, Namchi, on February 15.

A team of specialists conducted thorough health check-ups for the residents of the home. The doctors present at the camp included Dr. D. Deokota (Orthopedic Specialist), Dr. Amrita Manger (Medical Specialist), Dr. Andrew Cintury (Dental Surgeon), Dr. Palden W. Bhutia (Cardiologist), Dr. Nava Raj Rizal (Ophthalmologist), and Ms. Yasoda Chhetri (Ophthalmic Technician).

Officials from WCSCPwDWD also attended the camp to oversee the welfare activities. The attendees included Mrs. Manisha Cintury, Joint Secretary, WCSCPwDWD, Mrs. Sophia Lepcha, Assistant Director, WCSCPwDWD, along with inspectors from the department.

The health camp aimed to ensure the well-being of senior citizens by providing comprehensive health evaluations and specialized care.
