Sikkim: SKM Sports Wing and Youth Wing discuss upcoming sports awards and organizational alignment

The SKM Sports Wing convened a crucial meeting with Shri Lakpa Moktan, President of the SKM Youth Wing, at Hotel Tashi Delek in Gangtok. The agenda included discussions on the upcoming Sports Awards aimed at honoring exceptional athletes and contributors to the advancement of sports in Sikkim.

The meeting also focused on aligning the party’s frontal organizations with the broader vision of the SKM. Leaders stressed the importance of fostering better coordination, enhancing youth involvement, and adopting a unified approach to advancing sports and organizational development in the state.

Lakpa Moktan expressed his unwavering support for these initiatives, emphasizing the Youth Wing's dedication to promoting sports and ensuring a cohesive strategy for the party's growth. “Recognizing talent and streamlining efforts are key to both sporting excellence and organizational development,” he said.

The gathering included notable leaders such as Shri Rinzing Wangyal Chophel, President of the SKM Sports Wing; Nirmal Chettri, General Secretary; and Shadev Sharma, Coordinator I and Chairman of the All Sikkim Contractors Association, who shared valuable perspectives on sports and athlete welfare.

Other attendees included Coordinator I Devendra Gurung, Coordinator II Mohan K Subba, Convenor II Prem Rai, Secretary I Loday Wangchuk, Secretary II Palzor Ghishing and Organizing Secretary Janak Sharma.

The SKM Sports Wing is expected to announce further details about the Sports Awards and plans to integrate its efforts more effectively within the party framework.
