The 16th Rholu Diwas organized by the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) Party concluded with grandeur and overwhelming public participation despite the absence of party president and Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang. The event, held at the revered Rholu premises on Saturday highlighted the unity and dedication of the party and its supporters.

Thousands of people gathered to mark the occasion, turning the Rholu grounds into a sea of enthusiastic attendees. The program featured vibrant cultural performances, including traditional music and dance presented by the SKM Cultural Cell. The day began with rituals at the holy Rholu temple.

In a facebook post, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang expressed his regret at being unable to attend due to his engagement at the NEC meeting in Tripura. “Though I could not be physically present, my heart was with Rholu every moment,” his message read.

The absence of the party president was compensated by the presence of his wife, Mrs. Krishna Rai-Golay, who was welcomed with thunderous applause and slogans from the crowd.

Dignitaries, including the Assembly Speaker, Vice President, Cabinet Ministers, MLAs and party officials from six districts of the state, graced the event. The program also saw the launch of the SKM's 2025 calendar, magazine titled Population, and an official diary, with the promotion team playing a key role in their creation.

SKM spokesperson Sanjay Dilpali Rai expressed gratitude to all contributors, including grassroots activists from state, district, regional, and village levels. “The success of Rolu Diwas is a testament to the loyalty, dedication, and sincerity of our members. The party acknowledges every effort made towards this milestone,” he said.
