Sikkim: Sakchum Lepcha takes charge as SDM Soreng
Lepcha is part of the 2018 batch of Sikkim Civil Services (SCS) officers. Before her new appointment, she served as an Under Secretary in the Land Revenue and Disaster Management (LRDM) Department and the Education Department at their Head Offices in Gangtok.

Sakchum Lepcha formally assumed office as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Soreng today, succeeding Sunny Kharel.
Lepcha is part of the 2018 batch of Sikkim Civil Services (SCS) officers. Before her new appointment, she served as an Under Secretary in the Land Revenue and Disaster Management (LRDM) Department and the Education Department at their Head Offices in Gangtok.
Her previous roles have equipped her with experience in administrative management and disaster response as well as overseeing educational policies.
Speaking after assuming charge, Lepcha expressed her commitment to continuing Soreng’s developmental projects and ensuring smooth administrative functions.
