Sikkim rock band GATC to make history on America’s Got Talent

In a proud and historic moment for Sikkim and India, popular rock band Girish and The Chronicles (GATC) is all set to appear on one of the world’s biggest entertainment shows—America’s Got Talent (AGT). This makes GATC the first-ever rock band from India and Sikkim to be featured on the famous international talent platform.

The band flew to Hollywood, California, in March 2025 to take part in the audition rounds of AGT’s 20th anniversary season. Their performance is expected to be aired on June 3rd in the United States and June 4th in India and other countries through online platforms such as YouTube, Peacock, Facebook, and Instagram.

AGT is part of the world-famous Got Talent franchise created by Simon Cowell. Over the years, the show has grown to become a dream stage for performers from all corners of the globe. With its massive viewership and global influence, AGT offers a chance for rising talents to be seen by millions.

This season is extra special as it marks 20 years of AGT. The show features a panel of well-known celebrity judges including:
