Sikkim: Road construction begins from Naitam to Palum Busty
This new road will bring much-needed connectivity to Palum Village, which has long suffered from inadequate access to proper roads.

Construction work has officially commenced on the long-awaited road from 12th Mile Naitam to Palum Busty, marking a significant milestone for the residents of Palum Village. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Hon’ble Area MLA of 23-Shyari Constituency, Shri Tenzing Norbu Lamtha, along with the Hon’ble Panchayat of Naitam Ward and local villagers.
This new road will bring much-needed connectivity to Palum Village, which has long suffered from inadequate access to proper roads. Residents have voiced their appreciation for the efforts of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shriman Prem Singh Tamang-Golay, who prioritized the concerns of the local community, and Hon’ble MLA Shri Tenzing Norbu Lamtha, who played a key role in initiating the project.
The improved road connectivity is expected to enhance transportation, boost economic opportunities, and improve the overall quality of life for Palum Village residents. Local leaders and villagers expressed hope for more such developmental initiatives to uplift rural communities.
