Sikkim: OSD to Chief Minister visits Dojok Busty Football Coaching Camp, encourages local talent

On 17th January 2025, Karma Subba, OSD to the Chief Minister of Sikkim (Political Affairs), visited the ongoing month-long Football Coaching Camp at Dojok Busty, under the 15-Rangang Yangang Constituency. The camp, organized by the Dojok Youths with guidance from the Hon’ble Deputy Speaker and Area MLA, Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa, has been an important initiative for promoting sports among the local youth.
During his visit, Karma Subba interacted with the students and the organizing committee, highlighting the state's commitment to fostering sports talent. He shared the vision of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Prem Singh Tamang for promoting and empowering sports enthusiasts in Sikkim.
“I am proud to see the dedication of these young players,” said Karma Subba. “The Hon’ble Chief Minister has always emphasized the importance of sports, and these initiatives are a testament to that vision. The state is committed to providing platforms for young athletes to grow and succeed.”
A significant highlight of the visit was the announcement of two players from the camp who were recently selected to join a prestigious football club in India. This achievement has inspired the other participants, motivating them to pursue their passion for sports.
Karma Subba also inspected the venue for the closing ceremony of the camp, which is scheduled for the following day. The event will be attended by the Deputy Speaker, Raj Kumari Thapa, along with other dignitaries, including Panchayats and Government Contractor Norden Sangderpa.
