The Namchi Boxing Hall, located at the Namchi Parking Plaza, was officially inaugurated by Madam Krishna Kumari Rai, spouse of the former MLA and Chief Minister. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Satish Chandra Rai, Area MLA, Shri Ganesh Rai, Chairman of Namchi Municipal Corporation (NMC), as well as members of the Namchi District Boxing Association (NDBA) and a large gathering of the general public.

In her speech, Madam Krishna Kumari Rai emphasized the importance of women's involvement in sports, viewing it as a powerful indicator of societal progress. She highlighted the critical role of perseverance, energy, and consistency in achieving success, both in sports and in life. Her message was clear: sports serve as a platform for personal and collective growth, transcending gender and fostering equality.
