The Nam Aal Namsoong Celebration-2025 commenced on December 30, 2024 with a grand opening ceremony that celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the region. Held under the Rinchenpong constituency, the event was graced by Minister Sandup Lepcha as Chief Guest and Minister Tshering T. Bhutia as Guest of Honour, alongside several other dignitaries.

The festivities began with a ceremonial welcome, where garlands were presented to the guests by the organizing committee. The dignitaries also toured various exhibition stalls showcasing local crafts, traditional items, and cultural artifacts. A welcome song by Sangadorjee GPU set the tone for the event, followed by a series of captivating speeches and performances.

Highlighting the program were mesmerizing cultural dances, including a Lepcha dance by Sangadorjee and a Bhutia dance performed by the Megi Dara United Society. The inclusion of a Nepali dance by 12th Mile Hathidunga and another Lepcha performance by Tafel Neingserep added vibrancy to the occasion.

An archery competition among the guests drew enthusiastic applause. Visitors also explored traditional houses and stalls, immersing themselves in the local culture. A spirited football match between Kaluk PS and Sangadorjee GPU further energized the crowd.
