A meeting led by Area MLA and Advisor Shri Thenlay Tshering Bhutia was held at the Kabi BAC Auditorium Hall to address the identification and documentation of temporary workers entering the state for employment.
The meeting was attended by SDM Kabi Monika Rai, the Block Development Officer (BDO) Kabi, Assistant Directors, Zilla Panchayats, Councillor, and Ward Panchayats.
During the meeting, Bhutia stated the importance of strict document verification to ensure accurate data collection on all temporary or casual workers. He directed the Zilla Panchayats and Ward Panchayats to actively monitor and regulate the entry of these workers to ensure compliance with state regulations.
He further instructed that proper identification cards be issued to the workers, clearly stating the duration of their employment and the name of the contractor or agent responsible for their hiring. This step is aimed at maintaining accurate records and enhancing oversight on employment practices in the region.
The attending officials assured Shri Bhutia of their commitment to implementing these directives promptly and efficiently to safeguard local interests and ensure proper regulatory measures are in place.
