Sikkim Minister Pintso Namgyal Lepcha attends 2nd North-East Mining Ministers’ Conclave in Guwahati

Minister for Forest & Environment, Mines & Geology, and Science & Technology Department, Government of Sikkim, Shri Pintso Namgyal Lepcha, arrived in Guwahati today to participate in the 2nd North-East Mining Ministers’ Conclave. He was accompanied by the Principal Director and Additional Director of the department.

Organised by the Ministry of Mines & Coal, Government of India, the two-day conclave—scheduled from June 27 to 28—is aimed at fostering regional cooperation and strategic dialogue among the northeastern states for the promotion of sustainable mining and geological development. The event is being hosted in Guwahati, Assam, a key hub for mineral development initiatives in the region.

Upon arrival, the Sikkim delegation was warmly received by officials of the Ministry of Mines, reflecting the importance of inter-state camaraderie in driving forward the region’s mineral and environmental agenda.
