Sikkim: Maghey Sankranti Mela 2025 kicks off with traditional flair in Jorethang

The Maghey Sankranti Mela 2025 began with great enthusiasm under the vision and leadership of Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang. One of the highlights of the event is the introduction of Bangey Bazar, a unique setup that offers visitors an authentic taste of traditional Sikkimese drinks and cuisines. The Bazar highlights heritage by reviving traditional cooking methods, including the use of firewood, while discarding modern techniques.
