Sikkim: Legshep to Tashiding road inaugurated boosting regional connectivity

Minister for Roads & Bridges and Area MLA of 17-Khamdong Singtam Constituency, NB Dahal, inaugurated the much-awaited Legshep to Tashiding Road. The event, held with great enthusiasm, was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Area MLA of Burfong Constituency, Shri Riksal Dorjee Bhutia, along with other esteemed dignitaries.

The newly inaugurated road is expected to greatly improve connectivity, ensuring better accessibility for residents and facilitating smoother transportation in the region. Speaking at the ceremony, Shri NB Dahal emphasized the government’s commitment to bolstering road infrastructure, which he described as a cornerstone of socio-economic progress.

“This project is a testament to our dedication to improving connectivity in remote areas. Better roads mean better opportunities for our people, and we will continue working towards strengthening the region’s infrastructure,” said Shri Dahal.

The event saw participation from local leaders, government officials, and community members, all of whom acknowledged the importance of the project. Shri Riksal Dorjee Bhutia also highlighted how improved roads would contribute to economic growth by facilitating trade, tourism, and daily commutes.
