Sikkim Governor Omprakash Mathur invited as Chief Guest for Jorethang Maghe Sankranti Mela

The Jorethang Maghe Sankranti Mela Committee met with Sikkim's Hon'ble Governor, Mr. Omprakash Mathur, at Raj Bhavan today to extend a formal invitation for his presence at the inauguration ceremony of the much-anticipated fair.
The delegation, led by the Chief Patron of the fair and local MLA, Madan Sinchury along with other committee members, presented the invitation for the Governor to grace the event as the Chief Guest on January 14, 2025.
During the meeting, Chief Patron Sinchury conveyed his invitation, highlighting the significance of the Maghe Sankranti Mela, which holds great cultural importance for the region. The Governor, expressing his appreciation for the gesture accepted the invitation and wished the committee all the best for the successful organization of the event.
