Sikkim gears up for Sonam Lochhar 2025 celebration

Sikkim prepares to celebrate Sonam Lochhar 2025 on January 27 at the Jautar Stadium in Soreng District. Organized by the State Level Sonam Lochhar Celebration Committee, the event promises to be a grand showcase of tradition, unity and joy.

Chief Minister of Sikkim Prem Singh Tamang along with Madam Sarda Tamang, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, respectively.

Sonam Lochhar, marking the Tamang community’s New Year, is a time of renewal, reflection, and festivity. The celebration will feature traditional music, dance performances and rituals that highlight the rich cultural tapestry of the Tamang people.

The event invites people from all walks of life to join in the festivities.
