Sikkim gears up for Civil-Military Fusion Week and ‘Rashtra Nirman: Veteran Ki Sajhedari’ initiative

The Government of Sikkim, in collaboration with the Indian Army, is set to host the Civil-Military Fusion Week in mid-April, aiming to strengthen coordination between the armed forces and the civil administration. The event will focus on resource integration, infrastructure development, and disaster preparedness, reinforcing national security and development efforts.

A high-level meeting was held today at Tashiling Secretariat, chaired by Chief Secretary Shri R. Telang, IAS, to discuss preparations for the event. The meeting saw the participation of an Indian Army delegation led by Major General M. S. Rathore, VSM, General Officer Commanding (Black Cat Division), along with senior state government officials and Army officers.

The ‘Rashtra Nirman: Veteran Ki Sajhedari’ initiative was also a key discussion point. This program aims to honor the contributions of Army veterans and explore avenues for their active involvement in nation-building. Chief Secretary Telang spoke about the importance of civil-military cooperation, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and expertise. Major General Rathore echoed this sentiment, reaffirming the Army’s commitment to working closely with the state government for mutual progress and security.
