Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, during the 13th Foundation Day celebration of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) at Bengthang Taar in Pacheykhani said that his government is committed to improving the lives of Sikkim's residents. He made significant announcements, focusing on key developmental projects and social welfare initiatives aimed at shaping the future of the state.

One of the most noteworthy declarations was regarding the Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana (SGAY). CM Tamang assured the public that all beneficiaries under the scheme, irrespective of their political affiliations, will receive their allotted houses. "Many people who have received SGAY tokens will have their houses constructed, regardless of whether they supported the government or not," he said. Moreover, he said that 20% of the total allotments under SGAY would be specifically reserved for financially well-off individuals and building owners, further expanding the reach of this flagship housing scheme. The SGAY aims to provide permanent, quality homes to economically weaker sections of society, embodying the government's focus on inclusive development and social welfare.

Another major announcement by the Chief Minister was the construction of a Ram Mandir-style model in Rhenock. This "dream initiative" is set to be completed within three years and will stand as a prominent religious and cultural landmark in the region. The project is expected to become a symbol of unity and pride for the people of Rhenock and Sikkim.

During the same event, CM Tamang also said that a series of developmental projects are set to commence in Rhenock after the budget session this year. These projects aim to significantly enhance local infrastructure, boost economic growth, and improve public services, ensuring comprehensive and sustainable development.

Moreover, plans for the creation of a new township in Pakyong district were announced, aligning with the government's vision of urban expansion and well-planned settlements to accommodate Sikkim's growing population.
