The Sikkim Football Association (SFA) has nominated Sikkim Brotherhood FC and Sikkim Aakraman FC for participation in the I-League 3 (2025-26) season. The decision comes after careful consideration of the teams' performance in the SFA A Division S-League 2024-25.

Although Sikkim Police FT emerged as the league champions, their status as an institutional team makes them ineligible for nomination under the current regulations. As a result, Sikkim Brotherhood FC, which finished in second place, has been selected as the primary nominee for the league.

Additionally, Sikkim Aakraman FC, which finished third in the standings, expressed a strong desire to compete at the national level. Recognizing their commitment to football development in the state, the SFA has also nominated them for the upcoming season.

The final decision regarding the participation of both clubs now rests with the All India Football Federation (AIFF). However, the Sikkim Football Association remains optimistic and committed to ensuring that the nominated teams get the opportunity to represent the state on the national stage.

"We are proud to nominate Sikkim Brotherhood FC and Sikkim Aakraman FC for I-League 3. Both teams have demonstrated remarkable dedication and potential. We hope they get the opportunity to compete at the national level," an SFA official said.
