Minister for the Cooperation and Rural Development Departments and Area MLA for Arithang Constituency Arun Kumar Upreti distributed Ex gratia cheques to the victims of the recent fire outbreak at Sisa Golai in Gangtok. The distribution took place in the presence of Mahendra Chettri, SDM of Gangtok and Bijayata Kharel, Training Officer of DDMA along with other DDMA staff.

During the event, Minister Upreti met with the recipients, offering his condolences and assurance of further government assistance. He said that the government would extend help to the affected individuals as per the guidelines under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).

The following individuals received the Ex gratia cheques:

1. Sandeep Sundas (son of the late Kedar Sundas)

2. Roshan Sundas (son of the late Kedar Sundas)

3. Pushpa Sundas (wife of the late Kedar Sundas)

4. Mukesh Chettri (son of the late D.R. Chettri)

5. Suku Doma Lepcha (daughter of Sonam Lepcha)

6. Baichung Lepcha (son of Sonam Lepcha)

7. Arjun Sharma

8. Bal Krishna Karki Dholi (son of the late J.B. Karki Dholi)

9. Umesh Sharma (son of Dularchand Sharma)
