Sikkim: DC Gyalshing chairs preparatory meeting for Republic Day celebrations and Governor's visit

To ensure the seamless execution of upcoming events, District Collector (DC) Gyalshing, Mr. Tenzing Dorjee Denzongpa, chaired a high-level preparatory meeting on January 17 to discuss the arrangements for the Republic Day celebrations and the visit of Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Mr. Om Prakash Mathur, to Gyalshing District. The meeting was held at the Conference Hall, District Administrative Centre, Rabdentse.
The session was attended by senior district officials, including Mr. Tshering Sherpa, SP Gyalshing; Ms. Rajani Sharma, ADC (HQ); Mr. Pulkit (IAS), SDM Headquarters; Mr. Kshitij Saxena (IFS), DFO (T); Ms. KSC Tongden Lepcha, ACE Power; Mr. PG Bhutia, CEO Gyalshing; Mr. Sandeep Khatiwada, DE PHED; Mr. Garap Dorjee Bhutia, BDO Gyalshing; Dr. Nim N Bhutia, DMS Gyalshing; and representatives from various works and line departments.
The primary focus of the meeting was the upcoming visit of Hon’ble Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur to Gyalshing District, scheduled for January 21 and beyond. DC Denzongpa stressed the importance of this visit and urged all officials and staff to cooperate fully to ensure its success. He emphasized that all departments must operate at peak efficiency, with zero margin for error, especially those managing central and state government flagship programs.

Officials were directed to adhere to strict timelines and conduct regular reviews to resolve any potential issues. The DC encouraged participants to share suggestions for making the Republic Day celebrations memorable and distinctive.
