Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Sunday expressed his pride and happiness as his daughter, Prakriya Tamang Golay, took part in the Poomsae Competition of the Asmita Khelo India Women’s League at Palzor Stadium in Gangtok.

The competition has been organised by the Sikkim Amateur Taekwondo Association (SATA) in collaboration with India Taekwondo and Khelo India. The event is aimed at promoting women’s participation in martial arts and encouraging young girls to take up taekwondo as a career and as a way to strengthen their discipline and confidence.
