Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on May 24 expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior NDA leaders during the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting held in New Delhi. The gathering was attended by top national leaders, including BJP National President J.P. Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Ministers, and Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states.

CM Tamang shared that it was an honour to attend the meeting in the presence of the Hon’ble Prime Minister and other senior dignitaries. He acknowledged the continued support Sikkim has received from the Central Government, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic and recent natural disasters. “Your leadership has been truly exemplary,” he said while addressing the gathering.

Highlighting the progress of the North-Eastern region under the BJP-led NDA government since 2014, Tamang said the region has seen focused development, and the consistent visits by Union Ministers reflect the Centre’s strong commitment. He stated that what was once viewed only as a political space has now become a centre of active growth and progress, with Sikkim standing as a shining example of this transformation.
