Sikkim: CM Prem Singh Tamang inaugurates sub-tourist information centre at Dentam Bazar

Chief Minister of Sikkim, Prem Singh Tamang inaugurated the newly renovated Sub-Tourist Information Centre at Dentam Bazar on Janauary 16. The three-room facility, aimed at boosting tourism in the region is expected to enhance the travel experience for visitors.

The Chief Minister unveiled the inaugural plaque during the ceremony and conducted a detailed inspection of the upgraded amenities. He stated the importance of such infrastructure in promoting Sikkim as a premier tourist destination and ensuring seamless support for travelers.

The event witnessed the presence of prominent officials, including Tourism & Civil Aviation Minister TT Bhutia, Building and Housing Minister Bhim Hang Limboo, Area MLA-cum-Advisor (Tourism) Sudesh Kumar Limboo, Tourism Secretary Prakash Chettri, Principal Chief Engineer Niraj Pradhan as well as Gyalshing's Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police.

Speaking at the occasion, Tamang said that the government is committed to boosting tourism in rural areas and fostering economic opportunities for local communities. "This center will serve as a gateway for tourists to explore the natural beauty and cultural richness of Dentam and its surrounding areas," he said.

The Sub-Tourist Information Centre at Dentam Bazar is expected to provide essential services such as travel guidance, itinerary planning and information about local attractions.
