Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang highlights government's efforts at Chasok Tongnam celebrations


Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, on December 14, attended the State-level Chasok Tongnam celebrations at Saramsa Garden in East Sikkim.
In his address, CM Tamang reiterated the administration's commitment to fostering cultural and spiritual growth, noting plans to construct Yuma Manghims at multiple locations across the state, inspired by the one in Darap. "These Manghims will serve as centers of cultural and spiritual unity for our people," he stated.
The Chief Minister also touched upon the preservation of significant cultural sites, particularly the Sirijunga Falls and the Holy Cave, which hold deep cultural and spiritual importance for the Limboo community. He highlighted the proposed alternative alignment to protect the sanctity of these sacred sites.
In a significant moment during the event, CM Tamang released the 53rd and 54th editions of INGSA, urging the people to safeguard and preserve Sikkim's rich cultural heritage while embracing progress and adapting to changing times. He called for a collective effort to maintain communal harmony, peace, and unity, reinforcing the state's commitment to building a prosperous and unified future.
The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to update the gathering on the government's ongoing initiatives aimed at fulfilling the aspirations of the people, ensuring their needs are met through continuous support and development efforts.
