Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang dances with Kailash Kher at Maghey Mela performance

Padma Shri awardee Kailash Kher brought an electrifying energy to the Makar Sankranti Maghey Mela 2025 in Jorethang with his powerful performance leaving the audience mesmerized. The event, however became even more memorable when Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang joined Kher on stage, dancing joyfully to the beats of "Ye Duniya Utpatanga Chak De Phattey" from the 2006 comedy movie Khosla Ka Ghosla.

Adding to the joyous moment, Madam Krishna Rai also joined in, dancing along to Kher's energetic rendition of "Duniya Uth Mananga." The performance marked the first time a Sikkim Chief Minister was seen dancing with a singer on stage.
Kailash Kher, celebrated for iconic songs like "Teri Deewani," "Saiyan," and "Ya Rabba," was invited to perform at the festival, which draws large crowds each year. His arrival on January 20 was warmly welcomed by Chief Patron and MLA Madan Sinchury, Chief Minister’s Press Secretary Yugen Tamang and CLC President Rajesh Rai.
