Sikkim CM pays respects to Late Kungo Gyalo Thondup in Kalimpong

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang visited the residence of the late Kungo Gyalo Thondup, the esteemed elder brother of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, to offer his respects and prayers.

During his visit, Tamang met with Ngawang Tanpa Thondup, the son of the late Kungo Gyalo Thondup, and other family members. The Chief Minister expressed deep solidarity with the family during this time of mourning. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences and joined in prayers for the departed soul’s eternal peace.

Hon’ble MLA Madan Century also attended the gathering, offering his support to the grieving family. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister reflected on Kungo Gyalo Thondup’s life stating his legacy of wisdom, dedication, and service to humanity. Shri Tamang said that his contributions would remain an enduring source of inspiration for future generations.
