Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on April 8 officially launched Zelt, a new mobile application designed to facilitate secure and transparent gold-related investments. The platform has been developed by Mr. Abishek Goyal, a young entrepreneur from Lall Market, Gangtok, and is aimed at revolutionizing the way gold is bought and sold in the region.

Speaking at the launch, the Chief Minister lauded the innovative spirit of Sikkim’s youth and praised Mr. Goyal for his entrepreneurial initiative. “I am pleased to launch the Zelt app, an innovative platform for gold-related investments. It offers a secure, transparent, and user-friendly space for sellers and buyers to connect directly,” CM Tamang said.

The Zelt app is expected to streamline gold transactions by enabling direct connections between buyers and sellers without intermediaries, ensuring greater price transparency and trust in the gold market. With features tailored for ease of use, the app also aims to support local jewellers and investors by providing a digital space that aligns with modern financial practices.

The Chief Minister expressed optimism about the impact of such ventures on the state’s economic landscape. “It’s encouraging to see our youth embrace entrepreneurship with such creativity. I extend my best wishes to Mr. Goyal for his future endeavors,” he added.
