Sikkim CM hails National Teachers’ Award for Mangan School Principal

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has congratulated Mr. Karma Tempo Ethenpa, Principal of PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School, Mangan, on being selected for the prestigious National Teachers’ Award 2025. The honour, to be conferred by the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on September 5, has been described as a proud moment for Sikkim and a source of inspiration for teachers across the state.
In his message, the Chief Minister expressed immense pride at the recognition. “With immense pride, I congratulate Mr. Karma Tempo Ethenpa on this well-deserved honour. His dedication to nurturing young minds with passion and excellence has brought glory to our state. This award is not only a personal achievement for him but also a celebration of the commitment of Sikkim’s educators,” Tamang said.
Mr. Ethenpa, who has served in the education sector for decades, is known for his innovative teaching methods and leadership in improving academic standards at Mangan’s government school. Under his guidance, the school has steadily improved in both academic and co-curricular activities, while also becoming a model of inclusive education.
