Sikkim CM congratulates young achievers from Dzongu

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on April 2 expressed his happiness over the achievements of three young talents from Dzongu. He personally met and congratulated them for their outstanding accomplishments in sports and academics.

The Chief Minister shared that he was delighted to meet Ms. Marmit Lepcha, daughter of Shri Penzang Lepcha from Taryang, Lower Dzongu. Marmit has been selected as a football coach and is set to travel to the Czech Republic, Europe. CM Tamang described her achievement as a matter of great pride for the state and wished her immense success in her journey.

Similarly, the Chief Minister met Ms. Leesong Lepcha, daughter of Shri Phur Tshering Lepcha from Lingzya, Upper Dzongu, who secured the top position in the Chief Minister’s Meritorious Scholarship Scheme (CMMSS) 2025. She will now pursue her education at Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Madhya Pradesh.

Another student, Ms. Suknyim Lepcha, daughter of Shri Pema Lepcha from Hee Gyathang, Lower Dzongu, has also passed the CMMSS examination. Like Leesong, she will be joining Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya for further studies. The Chief Minister wished both students success in their academic journey and extended his best wishes to all the students selected under the scholarship scheme this year.
