Sikkim CM congratulates Rekha Gupta as she takes oath as Delhi Chief Minister

Rekha Gupta took the oath as Delhi’s Chief Minister in a grand ceremony at Ramlila Maidan today, marking the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) return to power in the national capital after 26 years. The event was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and senior BJP leaders. Gupta is the fourth female Chief Minister of Delhi and the only woman currently leading a BJP-ruled state.

Six cabinet ministers were sworn in alongside Gupta: Parvesh Verma (New Delhi), Manjinder Singh Sirsa (Rajouri Garden), Ravindra Kumar Indraj (Bawana), Kapil Mishra (Karawal Nagar), Ashish Sood (Janakpuri), and Pankaj Kumar Singh (Vikaspuri). Verma is speculated to be appointed as Deputy Chief Minister.
