Sikkim CM congratulates new DGP, bids farewell to outgoing Police Chief

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang extended his congratulations to Shri Akshay Sachdeva, IPS, on his promotion as the new Director General of Police (DGP) for Sikkim. In a statement, the Chief Minister lauded Sachdeva’s dedication to public service and expressed confidence in his leadership abilities.

“Heartiest congratulations to Akshay Sachdeva, IPS, on his promotion as the Director General of Police, Sikkim. His dedication to public service inspires confidence in his ability to lead Sikkim toward greater progress and excellence. I extend my best wishes for his tremendous success in this important role,” Tamang said.

The Chief Minister also expressed gratitude to the outgoing DGP, A.K. Singh, IPS, for his remarkable service to the state. “I take this opportunity to express my heartiest gratitude to A.K. Singh, IPS, for his outstanding and dedicated service. His invaluable contributions to the welfare of Sikkim will always be remembered. I wish him a happy, healthy, and fulfilling retired life,” he added.
