Sikkim CM attends Gyalpo Losar celebration, says the festival strengthens cultural unity

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang attended the State-level Gyalpo Losar celebration at Perbing Tar in Namchi district on Tuesday. The festival, which marks the Sherpa New Year, is an important cultural event for the Sherpa community and brings people together to celebrate their rich heritage.
Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Tamang highlighted the significance of Gyalpo Losar in preserving and promoting traditional customs. "This cherished festival holds deep cultural significance for the Sherpa community and serves as a vibrant platform for bringing together people from diverse backgrounds," he said.

He also thanked the Sherpa community for their warm hospitality and efforts in keeping their traditions alive. "It was truly a memorable day, and I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Sherpa community," he said.
