To make Sikkim’s 50th Statehood Celebration a grand occasion, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has announced efforts to invite international music sensation Ed Sheeran to perform at the event. During the Golden Jubilee program, Tamang shared his discussions with the renowned UK singer who is currently scheduled to perform in Bangalore.
Tamang spoke about the immense popularity of Sheeran, noting that when his online tickets go live for concerts, they sell out within just two to three hours, even with black market tickets being sold. "We are trying to bring such an international artist to Sikkim for our Statehood celebrations. It will be a momentous occasion for our people and a celebration of our state's golden milestone," Tamang said.
