In a bid to strengthen ties and explore potential collaborations, Chief Secretary of the Government of Sikkim, R. Telang, held a productive meeting with US Consul General Kolkata, Kathy Giles Diaz, at the Teesta Lounge of Tashiling Secretariat.
During the meeting, Telang provided an overview of Sikkim's recent developments, particularly focusing on the state's advancements in power projects and health facilities. He also highlighted Sikkim's impressive economic growth, pointing out that the state boasts the highest per capita Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) in the country. Furthermore, discussions were held on the tourism sector and the state's disaster management strategies.

Kathy Giles Diaz expressed her admiration for Sikkim's natural beauty and its proactive approach to organic farming.
