Sikkim BJP distributes Rs 5 lakh free treatment insurance cards in Parkha

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) distributed Rs 5 lakh free treatment insurance cards under the Ayushman Bharat programme in Parkha Gram Panchayat Unit (GPU), which falls under the 21 Gnathang Machong constituency. The event was led by BJP candidate Sangay Gyatso Bhutia, along with Zilla Panchayat Megraj Sharma from Linkey Parkha Territorial and Prem Chettri, BJP Pakyong District President.
The initiative aims to provide medical support to people in need, ensuring they receive free treatment under the government’s health scheme. The Ayushman Bharat programme, launched by the central government, is designed to offer financial protection for medical expenses, particularly benefiting economically weaker sections of society.
Speaking at the event, Sangay Gyatso Bhutia said that the BJP is committed to improving healthcare facilities and ensuring that no person is deprived of treatment due to financial constraints. He urged the beneficiaries to make use of the scheme and assured them of continued support from the party.
Zilla Panchayat Megraj Sharma highlighted the significance of this distribution, saying that the initiative would greatly help families in the region. Prem Chettri, BJP Pakyong District President, also spoke on the occasion, stressing the party’s dedication to the welfare of the people in Sikkim.
