Karma Samten Paljor, the respected founder of East Mojo, has been conferred the Khangchendzonga Kalam Puraskar 2025 by the Press Club of Sikkim. The award is a recognition of his deep commitment to honest, fearless, and ethical journalism that puts public interest above everything else.
The announcement of the award has brought immense pride to the people of Sikkim, especially those in the media field. Many consider this award not just a personal honour for Shri Paljor, but also a moment of collective joy for the entire Sikkimese community. His work has consistently shown the power of truth and the importance of giving a voice to those who are often unheard in society.
Following the announcement, the Sikkim Bhutia Lepcha Apex Committee (SIBLAC) has extended its warmest congratulations to Shri Paljor. In a heartfelt message dated July 17, 2025, SIBLAC praised his fearless journalism and his strong stand for truth and justice.
